For those of you who come here and immediately wonder, “What the hell is unschooling?” Or for those of you who could use some interesting reading/helpful resources.
Unschooling is a form of homeschooling that can also be called self-directed learning, child-led learning, or natural learning. Very, very basically, it puts into play the notion that if someone is not forced to learn certain “subjects”, life-long curiosity and love of learning will be achieved. I am fortunate to live in an area with many very inspiring unschoolers and relaxed homeschoolers of all ages. I have seen how unschooling works through these families and by witnessing how my own daughter learns.
